June 12, 2009: Hypertronics Corporation has released their ImplanTac contacts for the IS-1 and draft IS-4 form factors as set forth by the International Organization of Standards (ISO). These high-reliability contacts are also available for 1.27mm probe diameters as well as custom sizes and configurations. They are designed for implantable medical devices where reliability, dependability and ease-of-use are critical. Hypertronics Corporation maintains ISO 13485 certification which confirms their comprehension and compliance to medical device industry standards.
June 3, 2009: Hypertronics Corporation today announced that its KA MIL-DTL-55302 QPL’d Printed Circuit Board Connectors were on-board the Space Shuttle Atlantis on a mission to repair the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). The Hypertronics 320 pin KA series provide power and processing signals connectivity between every instrument on-board and its associated motherboard and consequently were also used extensively during the repair mission. The historic and successful Hubble Servicing Mission 4 concluded after almost 13 days with a trouble-free Space Shuttle landing on Sunday May 24, 2009.
May 12, 2009: Hypertronics Corporation was awarded a contract with BAE Systems to supply customized electrical connectors for the Traction Drive System (TDS) for the Army’s Future Combat Systems (FCS) Manned Ground Vehicles (MGV) program. The family of eight FCS MGVs is the first ever Army suite of ground combat vehicles to use hybrid electric drive technology. The TDS is a common platform assembly that will provide vehicle propulsion,
steering and braking and regenerate electrical power from braking and downhill grades for use in vehicle electrical systems.
April 2, 2009: Hypertronics HyperGrip® and D series Connectors Selected for SynCardia’s Total Artificial Heart Hypertronics Corporation, a Smiths Interconnect business and world-leading provider of high performance interconnect solutions for the most demanding applications; announced that its HyperGrip and D series circular connectors were selected by SynCardia Systems, Inc. (www.SynCardia.com) to provide critical interconnect reliability for their Freedom™ driver, which is currently under development and designed to power the CardioWest™ temporary Total Artificial Heart.
