Hypertronics Extends Connector Portfolio with Four New Product Lines

Hudson, MA (October 31, 2003) — Hypertronics Corporation, a leading provider of high reliability connectors, today announced the immediate availability of four new families of high performance products. Previously sold, supported and well recognized in Europe by Hypertronics’ sister company, Hypertac, these connectors offer innovative form factors and features for North American OEMs serving rugged applications such as mass transit, industrial, aerospace and military.
Like all connectors in the Hypertronics line, these four families feature the industry’s highest performance contact system, the Hypertac“ Contact. Product lines include:
- HLC Series - Designed specifically for docking stations and portable data collection applications that require frequent connect/disconnects, the HLC Series represent a highly reliable quick disconnect, sealed version of traditional Dsub style connectors.
- HFR Series - Designed for mass transit and industrial applications, the HFR Series connectors are made to withstand high voltages and high currents and meet railroad car performance standards.
- C9394 - A series optimized for the high density and lightweight requirements of airborne applications. A key feature of the C9394 Series is the chevron shape, which assists with polarization and ensures accurate mating.
- ARINC 600 - Used in aerospace and military designs, the ARINC 600 provides custom filtering and lightning protection and conforms to Mil-C-81659 B, BACC 66 specifications.
